Nazz is a passionate and dedicated individual with a strong academic and athletic background in Kinesiology and Physiotherapy. Nazz recently completed a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland in 2022. His achievements led to a representative position within the Faculty of Health & Behavioural Science. In Australia, Nazz served as the head physiotherapist for the semi-professional AFL club, Mt. Gravatt A.F.C. This experience allowed him to gain practical knowledge in sports-related rehabilitation and conditioning, working closely with athletes to enhance their physical well-being and performance.
Prior to Australia, Nazz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University in 2020, specializing in Active Health & Rehabilitation. During his time at SFU, Nazz worked at Fortius Sport & Health, and as a Student Trainer for the SFU Men’s Basketball team.
As a former NCAA Division 1 athlete, playing Men’s Soccer at Coastal Carolina University and later at SFU, Nazz has a unique blend of academic, professional, and personal athletic experience that provides him with a distinctive perspective within the field of physiotherapy.
Nazz’s approach to treatment is client-centered, emphasizing client education, and promoting self-efficacy and independence. He is dedicated to helping individuals achieve their fitness and health goals. Nazz is actively involved in research and is currently investigating the utility of rTMS for stroke-related rehabilitation.
In his free time, Nazz enjoys the outdoors, is actively learning the Italian language, and loves experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen (always open to suggestions.
