Alexandre Buono

Physiotherapist

Alex is a compassionate clinician with a strong interest in performance and rehabilitation. He values above all an evidence based and patient centered approach to his practice.

His central goal is to empower his patients toward success and independence – going beyond simply resolving the pain. He utilizes a combined approach of education, manual therapy and curated exercise programming to optimize recovery.

Alex first completed his Bachelors of Applied Science from the University of Guelph-Humber (2021) followed but his Master in Physiotherapy from Western University (2024). He then began his professional career in southwestern Ontario working in a clinic serving local athletes and the community.

He was a member of the physiotherapy team for the Stratford Warriors AA Hockey Club, as well as the Stratford Black Swans Rugby club. These experiences further cultivated his love for sport and allowed him to discover a new avenue of service to his community and a way to give back to systems of youth sport which gave so much to him.

Since moving to the west coast, Alex has quickly re-integrated himself into local sports, working as part of the rehab team supporting the North Vancouver Wolf Pack AA hockey Club as well as the physiotherapy team supporting the UBCOB Ravens Rugby Club. He continues to search for new opportunities to involve himself in sport and build new connections to his community Alex continues to strive toward excellence as a clinician, constantly involving himself in professional development opportunities and educational opportunities in nationally recognized programming such as the AIMS levels offered by the Orthopedic Division of Physiotherapy Canada.

Alex champions performance in his own life, beginning a young career in amateur weightlifting locally. He has quickly accustomed himself to the west coast lifestyle, running along the seawall, cycling to get where he needs to go and enjoying hikes.
