Kinesiologist S+C
Role Description:

This part-time, on-site role centers on designing and coaching individualized, small-group, and team-based training for athletes and active clients.

Scope includes one-to-one sessions, small-group training, and team training; involvement in lacrosse/hockey development, adult group fitness, youth programs, and therapeutic pathways such as ACL support.

The kinesiologist collaborates closely with physiotherapists and chiropractors for active-rehab progressions, implements sport-science technology to inform decisions, supports data collection and communication with clients and families, and upholds standards on the training floor.

Qualifications:
  • Registered or with BCAK
  • Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Exercise Science, or related field
  • Strong understanding of biomechanics, movement analysis, and exercise prescription
  • Ability to design and coach individualized, small-group, and team-based training programs
  • Confident coaching fundamental strength movements and athletic movement skills
  • Experience supporting active rehab and return-to-play progressions in collaboration with clinicians
  • Ability to use performance data and sport science technology to guide training decisions
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Organized, reliable, and comfortable coaching in a fast-paced, high performance environment

 

Preferences:
  • 3 years experience coaching athletes or active individuals in performance, S&C, or rehab settings
  • Certified CSCS and or CPSS with the NSCA
  • Experience leading small-group training, team training, or athlete development programs
  • Familiarity with return-to-play models, progression design, and movement assessment frameworks
  • Background in youth sport development or team sport preparation
  • Confidence in communicating with athletes, parents and coaches regarding progress and expectations
  • Contributes to 1P program development, seasonal training systems, and education
  • Motivation to build a strong, community-connected caseload though great coaching and relationship-building

Position details:

Term: Part time flexible, 2x week, evenings to start with option to expand schedule.
