Jolie Wong

Physiotherapist

MPT, BKin

Jolie is an Interim Physiotherapist who recently received her Masters of Physical Therapy, and previously her Bachelors of Kinesiology, from the University of British Columbia. Growing up participating and competing in various sports including volleyball, basketball, track and field, swimming, and dragonboat, she was introduced to physiotherapy through her own injuries, which sparked an interest in rehabilitation.

While completing her Kinesiology degree, Jolie worked as a student athletic trainer for the UBC Men’s Volleyball Team from 2017-2020. Taking on the role of managing and mitigating injuries, she contributed to the team’s USport National Championship title in 2018. She has also spent time volunteering alongside the rehab team as a student athletic trainer with the Women’s National Volleyball Team and Men’s Youth National Volleyball Team.

Jolie has been pursuing continuing education to further her clinical expertise, having already obtained her Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Level 1 Certification. She is passionate about guiding athletes through their return to play journey from injury, and has a special interest in innovations in sports rehabilitation and amputee rehabilitation.

Embodying the active lifestyle she promotes, Jolie enjoys running, hiking, and competing in recreational sports. She believes movement is medicine, which is a keystone to her practice. Jolie’s treatment approach includes manual therapy, exercise prescription, and patient education, with the goal of assisting active individuals through their rehabilitation journey to achieve optimal performance.
